We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Advocate II to become an integral part of our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will engage with patients and healthcare providers to ensure the seamless processing and delivery of prescriptions while providing essential support for effective medication management. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a supportive liaison among our Specialty Care Pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Accurately collect and verify all pertinent information, including insurance details, to facilitate the efficient processing of prescription orders.
- Assist in gathering clinical outcomes data from patients, documenting this information accurately in our software systems.
- Clearly communicate the scope of our services and programs to patients and provider staff, ensuring comprehension of their options.
- Proactively reach out to patients regarding prescription refills and perform follow-ups as necessary.
- Address medication or health-related inquiries by directing patients to licensed healthcare professionals.
- Process prescription refills with precision using pharmacy dispensing software in a timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive records by documenting all communications with patients and healthcare providers.
- Coordinate with patients to schedule deliveries, confirm addresses, and clarify payment responsibilities.
- Assist in obtaining prior authorizations while referring under/uninsured patients to suitable assistance programs, guiding them through the application process.
- Stay informed about new treatment trends and effectively communicate patient status to healthcare providers.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality while demonstrating independent problem-solving capabilities.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in scheduling patient deliveries over a 90-day period, minimizing shipping errors.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by undertaking additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician license registered in Florida.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of relevant customer service experience is essential.
- Preferred: Background in insurance and experience within medical or pharmacy settings.
- Must meet state certification requirements (CPhT) or complete other board-approved training programs, as applicable.
